Learn to count in Japanese

In learning new languages, it would be beneficial if you learn to count first. During my experinece learning the Japanese language, learning how to count came last in my list. This proved to be detrimental to my everyday life here in Japan. When you buy in the market you need to count, when you talk with your officemates you need to count, you use them most of the time. So I tell you this, study Japanese counting earlier during your study of the Japanese language.
